Linda Kender's Dog Friendly Training is offering a Therapy Dog Fast Track Workshop to help prepare you and your dog to visit in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospices and other pet therapy and animal assisted activities locations. The workshop will include two sessions: Sunday, March 1, 2015 and Sunday, March 8, 2015. This workshop is a condensed and accelerated version of the four week series and will offer a review of basic obedience skills and other requirements to help prepare you and your dog for either the Pet Partner or Bright & Beautiful evaluation. Included will be discussions on how to read your dog's body language, working in partnership with your dog, introduction of various medical equipment, role playing and more. Turid Rugaas' book "On Talking Terms With Dogs" and a ten foot long line will be included in the workshop fee of $100. All vaccinations (including bordatella) must be current.
